Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a common eye disease that affects the optic nerve. Although most types of glaucoma are caused by increased ocular pressure, there can be other causes. Early detection through specialized testing is critical to diagnose glaucoma because there are usually no symptoms. If left untreated, there can be permanent damage to the optic nerve that can result in vision loss and even blindness.
